From The Mind of Merc - Roe v Wade

And linking to the 2nd of 'July's posts, 'this month's Mind of Merc post.

Sometimes I find my mind wandering over various eclectic topics and occasionally I am inspired to write some of them down. Today I was thinking about Roe v Wade.

So here’s a fun fact in case you hadn’t picked up on it:
The birth rate in the US is declining and hit an all-time low in July of this year of 1.6 children per woman.

This is particularly of note since the overturn of Roe v Wade in 2022 could arguably be said to have been an attempt by men to control women and their reproductive capabilities. Guess that’s working out really well for them then! Guess if you try to control woman a) it ain’t gonna work and b) they’re gonna fight back. Who’d have guessed human beings would react that way!
