Time for August's Mind of Merc post.
Sometimes I find my mind wandering over various eclectic topics and occasionally I am inspired to write some of them down. Today I was thinking about RFK.
I cannot get over this comment made by RFK at a recent hearing. He legitimately said:
“We, you know, people, we need to stop trusting the experts…And trusting the experts is not a feature of science. It’s not a feature of democracy. It’s a feature of religion and it’s a feature of totalitarianism. ”
Umm… WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK?!? This is the Head of US Health
and Human Services telling us experts are bad and not a part of science. Aside
from the undeniable fact of how wrong this is, could it possibly be because the
experts are not agreeing with all the other bizarre and frankly ridiculous
stuff he’s come out with?
Like:
- COV-ID targets certain ethnic groups – WRONG
- COV-ID vaccines are linked to “thousands” of deaths – WRONG
- Vitamins are better for treating measles than vaccinations – result: massive measles outbreak and several deaths
But, hey, as long as he supports Trump – that’s clearly the most important thing(!)
